The Two-Minute Duologue Challenge

The world may have slowed down in the last few months, but that’s not been the case with your CREATIVITY, which has been quite overwhelming.

In April, we launched our One-Minute Monologue Challenge asking for short monologues during lockdown – incredibly we have had over 250 sent to us! More than 50 have been performed and recorded by an actor – the best are being broadcasted on BBC Radio Suffolk – 4 a week, which has been amazing.Thank you Radio Suffolk.

This week we are launching a new writing challenge – The Two-Minute Duologue Challenge for Radio.

We are delighted to continue our fabulous partnership with BBC Radio Suffolk who will be broadcasting the best of these submissions throughout the summer, so do get writing!

Choose your subject — it can be anything — funny, sad, topical, thought provoking… written for two actors.

Your submission should be sent in a Word document (not a PDF) and include the title and your name, and you can send your submission to jane@inkfestival.org.

The Submission closing date is Friday 10th July.

Successful duologues will be sent to INK actors to make audio recordings, some might even be included in the INK Festival 2021.

Each week BBC Radio Suffolk will feature a selection of the best duologues for broadcast every evening (except Thursday’s) at 8.30pm. Do listen out.

If you would like some tips for writing head over to our website, our hugely talented friends and INK writers have put together a list of top tips to help you. Contributors include Esther Freud, Jan Etherington, Greg Mossse, John Morton and many more.

If you love writing, all details for submitting scripts for INK 2021 are now on our website.
