Santa and Rudolph’s tour around the streets of Felixstowe and surrounding villages in December 2022 has topped the £10k mark for the first time.

The final total of £10,242 was collected for Save the Children projects and the Rotary Club of Felixstowe’s support for those suffering hardship in Ukraine. Both charities would like to extend sincere gratitude to the local community for their generosity.

Santa and Rudolph are a long-established part of Christmas in Felixstowe, raising funds and bringing seasonal cheer.

We’d like to thank HB Commercial who stepped in with a replacement trailer when the old one was found to be beyond repair. Thanks to their generosity, Santa and Rudolph will be on the road for decades to come.

Santa and Rudolph’s tour is a community enterprise where so many have played their part. We greatly appreciate all volunteer collectors, Santas and drivers who supported us on our 14 evening tours around the streets and two weekend appearances at the Triangle, Great Eastern Square and Mannings.

A few mentions are particularly well deserved: Felixstowe Town Council for its substantial grant which went towards materials for refitting the trailer’s sound equipment and lights, Mannings for the use of their coin counting facilities, Savers, Lidl and Morrisons for supporting the weekend events, and Vicky and Harry at the Half Moon in Walton for accommodating the trailer throughout the refit and the ride around the town.
