New art workshops starting in Trimley St Martin

Local artist, Carole Massey, will be starting monthly art workshops at Trimley St Martin Memorial Hall, commencing Tuesday 25 April. The classes will cover topics from landscapes and seascapes to portraiture of humans and animals, still life, figure studies and lots more!

If you are a complete beginner who wants to learn how to draw and paint, or a more experienced artist who would like some inspiration and guidance, come and join Carole’s monthly workshops.

The classes will run from 10am-3.30pm and cost £45 per workshop. Booking in advance is essential.

Tuesday 25 April: Drawing Workshop – Pencil, charcoal, pen and ink. Learn to draw accurately, add tone, shading and use perspective.

Tuesday 23 May: Spring Flowers or a Landscape – Watercolours, water soluble pencils, or acrylics.

Tuesday 27 June: Colour Mixing for Shadows – Add convincing shadows to a sunny street or beach scene using watercolours, acrylics or pastels.

Carole is a professional artist living in Leiston, with many years’ teaching experience. She is a member of Felixstowe Art Group and also a popular tutor. Carole has written seven books and appeared on regional TV programmes.
