125th Anniversary of Felixstowe Town Station

The Felixstowe Society and Felixstowe Travel Watch are joining forces to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the opening of the main buildings of Felixstowe’s new town centre station in Hamilton Road.

Celebrations will take place on 1 July – the same date that the event took place in 1898. Come along for activities and to see the displays, including stories about the 1933 train accident at the station and learn why it took 20 years for the town station to be built after the railway line from Ipswich was opened. More news will follow nearer the time.
