About Spotlight Magazine

Spotlight on Felixstowe was born in February 2004, mainly as a result of the editor/owner's desire to publish a local magazine, having previously published books, post cards, calendars and more.

Right from the outset, the magazine needed to be different, classy and informative. One of the first problems was to come up with the name and eventually 'Spotlight' was the word! Then came the 'look' and format which was all important as it needed to be 'special' and stand out from the crowd (a bit like Glenn Miller looking for 'that unique sound').

After six months of deliberation and hard work, 'Spotlight on Felixstowe' was first delivered in the area in August 2004….yes it had taken six months to find the right 'look' and get everything in place.

From the start, residents and businesses in the area loved this new FREE publication which we are glad to say also encouraged others to 'improve their act'.

Spotlight goes from strength to strength and had a big make-over in March 2009, where sincere thanks must go to Alex Moss for his creative ingenuity. In time, there will be 'Spotlights' in other towns given the support of the advertisers who make it all possible, as well as those who supply information and articles. Thank you all and now, where ever you are, you can enjoy reading Spotlight on Felixstowe.
